Saint Joseph positioned himself on the sidelines of Jesus' events. The focus was not on him, but on the child Jesus. Nevertheless, the evangelists portray Saint Joseph as a figure who accomplishes seemingly impossible tasks within the Holy Family's life. This research employs the qualitative literature review method. Through an extensive examination of relevant scholarly works, this study investigates the factors contributing to the development of devotion to Saint Joseph within the context of the Congregation of PIJ (=Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus). The analysis delves into various dimensions, including historical, cultural, and religious aspects, to understand the complex influences shaping this form of devotion. By synthesizing existing knowledge and insights from diverse sources, this research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how the phenomenon of devotion to Saint Joseph has evolved over time within the PIJ congregation. The findings of this study contribute to the broader scholarly discourse on religious practices, cultural dynamics, and the significance of saints in shaping religious identity and spirituality.
