Focus & Scope

Focus: The journal offers an international forum for scholars from different religions in Asian contexts to deliver the notion of empirical justification of the relationship between religion or faith and science in daily living, both by individuals and by whole communities.

Scope: The Mysterium Fidei: Journal of Asian Empirical Theology is an international, open access scholarly journal, and double-blind peer reviewed studies on theological thought and practice.  It publishes regular research papers for promoting historical, critical, and hermeneutical approaches in the multidisciplinary study of Asian religious/spiritual traditions. It offers a venue to the empirical theologians which observe and interpretate phenomenon in the praxis for expressing their researches. They may employ more specific empirical research, using in-depth interviews, surveys, participant observation, documentation analysis, or other methods, depending on the precise research question. All social theories and methods help authors in investigating the main question on "how people speak of God" or "what people are spoken to God".
