Author Guidelines

  1. The title should contain a maximum of 15 words.
  2. Manuscript in Bahasa Indonesia should have abstract written in Bahasa Indonesia. Manuscript in English should have abstract written only in English. Abstract should be between 150 and 200 words that describe background, research's questions, methods, results and conclusion with three to five keywords.
  3. Manuscript should be between 4,500 and 5,500 words, including references.
  4. Manuscript must be a study based on either literature (text) or field research.
  5. Manuscript should be submitted in Word (font: Times New Romans; line spacing multiple at: 1.25, character: 12 point).
  6. The journal only allows quotation from classic languages in Latin and Greek; any other quotations in Hebrew, Arabic etc., or with any symbol characters are not permitted.
  7. Heading:
  • First-level headings (Introduction, Methods, Result & Discussion, Conclusion, References) should be in bold with "uppercase".
  • Second-level headings should be in bold italics with "capitalize each word".
  • Third-level headings should be in italics with "sentence case".
  •  The table is displayed in the center with the table's title displayed at the top of the table, left aligned, using Times New Roman & font size 10. The words "Table" and "number" are written in bold (bold), while the table's number is written in Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, and so on). The content of the table uses Times New Roman font size 10 with spacing 1. Description on "Source" is written at the bottom of the table, left aligned, using Times New Roman & font size 10.
  1. The figure is displayed in the center with the figure's title displayed at the bottom of the figure, left aligned, using Times New Roman, and font size 10. The words "Figure" and "number" are written in bold (bold), while the figure's title is written in Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, and so on). Description on "Source" is written at the bottom of the figure, left aligned, using Times New Roman & font size 10.
  2. Running note (in note citation) and bibliography employ APA Style 7th
  3. Minimum references are 20 sources. It should be 80% of references published within 5 years. It should contain some references from the Mysterium Fidei: Journal of Asian Empirical Theology.
  4. The article submitted will be peer-reviewed by qualified academics; this process may take 1-4 weeks. All submitted papers are reviewed by qualified reviewers.
  5. The author should respond questions from the readers of his/her article; in case there is corrections, the author must revise the article as soon as possible.
  6. The article must include name of the author(s), affiliation, and e-mail address.

Here are the things that make a manuscript rejected by the Editor before the peer-review process:

  1. The content of the manuscript is outside the focus and scope of the journal.
  2. The manuscript content is incomplete, such as lacking abstracts, keywords, author information, and/or images and tables.
  3. Language aspects (English/Indonesian) are highly non-standard, making the manuscript ambiguous or confusing.
  4. The manuscript merely repeats previously published experiments in other journals without adding new data/variables or presenting insufficient data, or lacks novelty.
  5. The manuscript contains research content that is outdated.
  6. The manuscript does not meet the minimum requirements (substantive content) specified in the Author Guidelines.
  7. The manuscript contains questionable data regarding compliance with Publication Ethics (falsification, fabrication, plagiarism).
  8. The source of the methods used is unclear and irrelevant (out of date).
  9. Insufficient use of primary and up-to-date references.
